TechnoPro Signs on to UN Global Compact

TechnoPro Holdings, Inc. announced that it has become a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (“UNGC”) initiative advocated by the United Nations and was registered as a participant as of October 12, 2021. At the same time, the Company has joined the Global Compact Network Japan, the UNGC’s local network in Japan.

The UNGC is a voluntary initiative in which each company and organization participates to act as a good member of society and achieve sustainable growth by taking responsible and creative leadership.

The TechnoPro Group endorses the implementation of the UNGC’s ten principles in the four areas of 1) human rights, 2) labour, 3) environment, and 4) anti-corruption. As stated in the medium-term management plan “Evolution 2026”, the Group strives to create shared value with all stakeholders including engineers, customers and society by leveraging its assets such as engineers, technological capabilities and business model, and consequently aims to take steps to achieve long-lasting business growth and resolution of social and environmental issues, as well as realization of sustainable society through establishing and maintaining solid management structure.

The Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact
Human RightsPrinciple 1Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
Principle 2make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
LabourPrinciple 3Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
Principle 4the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
Principle 5the effective abolition of child labour; and
Principle 6the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
EnvironmentPrinciple 7Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Principle 8undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
Principle 9encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
Anti-CorruptionPrinciple 10Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
